Day 5 in Alaska! We have had the most wonderful time so far. The views are never tiring. The ministry has been annointed. And we have enjoyed our times of play. Friday, we went to a park with the coolest jungle gym. The boys had a blast climbing around on that. I met an Alaskan Native while there. Her name is Valerie. She was there with her neice and nephew. She told me that her nephew has leukemia. He was diagnosed last June. I invited them to the conference. Maybe they will show up today. I pray she does.

Alaska Day 3

Day 3 in Alaska. Wednesday was another great day. First, we went to the Anchorage Museum. It had the history of Alaska from the ancient days until the present. They also had a hands on science center which we all enjoyed. And incredible artwork of the area. I think everyone thought that was a hit. In the evening we went to a couple's house that live at the foothills of some amazing mountains. We had a wonderful meal, fellowship, and prayer meeting. It was the perfect beginning to what we pray is going to be an amazing conference.

Day 2 Tuesday! We went for a drive on a scenic highway. It winds between two sets of mountains. It was absolutely beautiful! We had a great time at lunch with Nancy Haney. Yesterday afternoon we went to Earthquake Park. In 1964, Anchorage had a terrible earthquake and the park is a memorial and interpretive trail of the event. That is where the boys were playing in the snow/ice. It stays light outside until after 11 or 12 and it is light when we wake up around 6:00 pacific time.

Alaska!

We are in Alaska! We left our house at 4:45am on Monday and arrived in Anchorage at 12:45am eastern time, 8:45pm Anchorage time. We had a few minor delays. The boys did amazing considering all the sit down time on planes. We finally got in the bed around 11:30pm Anchorage time and that would be 3:30am eastern time. So that is 24 hours with no sleep. Then the boys woke up at 6:40 this morning. But enough of the negative! The view on the plane was incredible especially flying over the rocky mountains and into Anchorage. The mountains are huge and magnificent! The pictures do not do them justice. Today we hope to get an up close and personal view! I almost forgot! On our way to the hotel, we saw a young moose!
