Great Weekend!

We have had a great weekend. It started friday with the boys spending the entire day with Jacob and Joey. They always have a great time together. Russ and I got to go on a date friday night. We went out to eat then went to Walmart. That is some date isn't it? lol. We had fun anyway! Saturday we were invited to Phyllis' and Melissa's house on the river. They live on a beautiful river and all the kids enjoyed playing in and around it. I don't think they stopped running the whole time there. Sunday, Michelle, Kyle, Juanita, and Evelyn come over for dinner, then after a nap me, Russ, the boys, and Piper went for a short hike at Chau Ram Park. We saw a beautiful outside church on top of a hill. We had never seen it before today. Then on the way back, we smelled a very strong, musty, poopy smell. We asked the park ranger about it and he said it was a bear. We picked up our pace after smelling that! I am just so thankful for great friends, great weather, and a beautiful place to live!

October Happenings

We have spent a lot of time with friends lately. We went to Oconee Station with our friends the Mcgovern's and the Steele's. It was a beautiful day for a hike. We didn't see any snakes this time but we did see an opossum skeleton. We went trick or treating with Kristie, Jabob, Joey, and Brady. Everyone had a great time and got way too much candy. The boys have had friends over several times the last two weeks. Last saturday Michelle threw me a surprise birthday party. It was truly a surprise. I had no idea. After the shock wore off I think everyone had fun. I know I sure did and was very blessed to have my family and friends there.

West Virginia and Ohio

This was our first trip to West Virginia and we hope it will not be our last. We went to Lewisburg, WV and it is absolutely beautiful! The trees are peak color. There are mountains, rolling hills, farms with old barns, caverns, unique rock formations, very old buildings, and lots of history. So far we have visited Lost World Caverns, Civil War battlefields and graveyards, Beartown State Park, and Carnegie Hall. Unfortunately, my camera has been giving me trouble so I only have a few pictures. Ohio was just as beautiful with rolling hills, farms with beautiful barns, and gorgeous fall colors. The Point to Hope conference in McConnellsville, OH was awesome as well.

Busy Week

Our recent activites include, but are not limited to, playing with Piper, training Piper, and cleaning up after Piper! But overall, I think everyone in the house is enjoying Piper. We have spent lots of time with friends this week. We went to South Cove with Kristie and her boys. We always have a great time with them. Thursday we went with our friends, the Steele's, to an awesome park in Cashiers. Lindsey and I had a great time. I think the kids did too! It was a perfect day in the park. We also got to celebrate Feast of Tabernacles with the Steeles and some of their friends. All of this fun mixed in with getting ready for our trip to Ohio. Adventure is out there!

Chau Ram

Today was the kind of day that we needed to get outside. We haven't been to Chau Ram lately so we thought we would introduce Piper to one of our favorite places to get into nature. It is close and convenient also! The boys, myself, and Piper had a great time.
