Days of our Lives

So much has been happening lately that it is hard to remember it all and write it all down. Russ and I have been on a date 3 weekends in a row. It has been very refreshing. We did not plan it, it just happened. Another unexpected but wonderful surprises! We spent last saturday in Clayton, GA and Sapphire Valley. We went to this great store that we love called Glo's Place.

Isaac started football practice this week. He enjoyed the first 2 then asked if he had to go back on thursday. I think he was just tired because once he got there he was fine and said he enjoyed it. Once they start practicing plays and start having games, I think he will love it.

We went to Oconee Station Falls this week with friends. We had a great time. The water was low but that did not stop the kids from getting wet! We saw 2 snakes while we were there. Mushrooms that looked like turtle shells. And a huge centipede with orange legs.

Unexpected Surprises!

Today was a day of unexpected surprises. I was watering the flower gardens because we have not had any rain and it has been over 100 degrees lately. Anywhoo, I found this beautiful little pumpkin that we did not plant. We must have thrown the seeds over the deck into the tropical flower bed. So now we have this little pumpkin and more on the way.

Also, how many times do we go to church because it is our duty as a christian. We do not go because we are expecting anything to happen. Well, today we went to church and I was not necessarily expecting anything special but I got an unexpected surprise. Golden Corner Church this morning was awesome! Mark spoke from his heart and with compassion then the worship team got up and truly led us into worship. It is awesome to be in a place when the spirit of God is working.

So this has been a great day of unexpected surprises!

Camping at Chau Ram!

We went camping last weekend at Chau Ram Park. It is only about 5 miles from our house. We needed to stay close because Russ had to sing at church sunday. Last week, Cade had what he called "the poopy virus". Russ got it on Friday. He was sick for 2 days then caught another virus at church. He has not felt very good since last Friday. The boys and I had a great time. They played in the river and we found and caught lots of tadpoles. We did not bring anymore home. The others have already turned to frogs and jumped away. I will post pictures of the river as soon as I download them. The most exciting thing that happened on that trip was the mouse we found in the RV. It had a nice nest in the towel drawer. Russ found it when he was looking for a spatula. It almost ran up his arm. I am so glad he found it and not me! One thing is for sure, there is never a dull moment around here. Isaac went to football camp this week. He said that he loved it. We'll see how he loves it when they have practice every day.

Laid Back Summer!

Have you ever had one of those laid back weeks where you stay home and don't go anywhere? Well, that is what we have done this week. It wasn't planned, it just happened. The beginning of the week we just played games inside, I put up some vegetables from the garden, and we only swam a couple of times. Thursday, Cade got sick. It was the only day we were going to do something. He must have a stomach virus. He still is not 100% today. Last night Russ wasn't feeling too good either. But our stay at homeness ends today. We are going camping at a local campground. We are going to take a few days just to relax and enjoy the river. Russ is in terrible need of a vacation! I just pray everyone is up to it. The good thing is we can be as relaxed as we want. Well off to a great weekend relaxing with the family!
